Cannabis
In early 2019, I audited the Cannabis market in order to understand the scope and range of what products are being offered, find trends in the market, as well as create an overview for the designers of the packaging styles, trends, and laws in the category.
I spent three months researching Cannabis and CBD from three points of consumption; smoking, edibles, and topicals. Through my research I discovered vast design differences in branding, strategy, and regulation. The main focus of this research was to equip the designers at my firm with knowledge of the space both from a brand and form perspective.
Clean Beauty
Before the Clean Beauty trend was in full effect, I was tasked with understanding the movement in order to prepare for a few upcoming clean beauty clients. This audit was intended to show the whitespace in the market as well as understand the look and feel of current brands on the market, how they talk about themselves, and what claims they were making. I was then able to go to our clients and prove the need for their product in this market as well as how our designs could differentiate from what was currently being done.
